His previous command level assignments include the Special Weapons and Tactics Bureau, Convention Center Area Command, the Homicide & Sex Crimes Bureau, and the Northwest Area Command. Before promoting to Captain, Chris worked a wide variety of assignments during his career with the LVMPD; Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Vice Detective (TDY), Gang Detective, Patrol Sergeant, PSU Sergeant, Robbery Sergeant, Federal Task Force Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Administrative Lieutenant, Internal Affairs Lieutenant, and Critical Incident Review Team Lieutenant where one of his primary duties was overseeing the investigation of Officer Involved Shootings and other significant use of force incidents.The LVMPD has over 6200 employees and an annual budget in excess of $1 Billion. The LVMPD’s jurisdiction includes all of Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County with over square miles. An LVMPD Area Command is one of ten patrol substations commanded by a captain (area/bureau commander) with 4-5 lieutenants, 18-22 sergeants and approximately 160 to 260 police officers, detectives, and civilian employees. An Area Command has a typical annual budget of $25-$30 million.

Responsible for the day to day leadership, management, and coordination of the Court Security Officer contract for the United States Marshal Service (USMS) within the 9th Circuit including all districts within Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona.(A second Contract Manager is responsible for the remainder of the 9th Circuit-California, Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan). The Court Security Officer program is comprised of prior law enforcement officers that are sworn in as Special Deputy United States Marshals. This is the same federal deputation process that is used for all Task Force Officers (TFO\'s) throughout the US.CSO\'s are responsible for protecting all of the federal courthouses throughout the United States and its Territories on behalf of the primary federal law enforcement agency with responsibility for this immense task-the United States Marshal Service.
