Supervising staff in the TDOT Aeronautics’ Project Development and Delivery group compromising of the Project Management, Planning/Environment and Asset Management/Statewide Programs sections associated with the 77 public-use airports. Work includes supervising staff for the planning and implementation of the 69 General Aviation Airport Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP) projects. Associated with the ACIP’s is overseeing the non-primary entitlements, state apportionment (federal) and BIL funding plus the use State funding to maximize all available funding sources over the next 3-years and provide the maximum benefit to the airports and the system plus supporting the 20-year system plan. During this phase, creation of a maintenance plan based on pavement needs, obstructions present or other needs are identified and a corresponding maintenance contract is planned and executed. Every month, capital projects are review, executed and overseen. In charge of overseeing, creating and executing consultant contracts, contractor contracts and other general services (GS) contracts that are utilized. Maintaining contact with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), consultants, contractors, TDOT Aeronautics Commission and others pending on the task. Participates in a monthly call with the district FAA office concerning any block grant duties, updates to the program and new developments. Updates and works with the TDOT Aeronautics Commission on all programs and projects the teams are supporting for their oversight and approval. Currently developing an Asset Management Program with working on the creation of the TDOT Aeronautics Asset Management Flight Path (Framework to an Asset Management Plan). Associated with this effort, a GIS based asset inventory has been created and will continue to evolve as other feature classes are added. Currently working to create a robust inspection program using ESRI resources.And much more (Out of space to list).
