ABOUT CHRISTOPHER SAMPSON
As a Translational lead, in Virology, I am mainly focussed on enabling clinical translation across the 5 pillars for anti-virals in the Respiratory, Immunology, Inflammatory and Infectious diseases spaces; conceptualising as well as delivering a clinically enabling Virological Biomarker strategy and delivery of Clinical Virology data packages as well as analysis for clinical trial read out and market file. I do this as a matrix lead embedded across a number of development teams (early and late phase) at asset level and clinical teams at study level (Ph1 upto Ph3 and at market file).Snap shot of interests/ experience- Clinical Virology, Clinical Biomarkers, Diagnostics- Biology of host-pathogen interactions with Influenza, HBV, HIV and RV- Natural and Disease state cellular characteristics and behaviour (particularly cytoskeleton dynamics, endomembrane recycling and cellular/ tissue mechanics)- Biotechnology- Pre-clinical CMC, CMC in general- GxP (GMP, GCP, GCLP) operations- Medicine development- Recombinant protein expression- Analytical method development, Validation and Tech transfer (GMP and GCP)- Team work/ Management/ Leadership- Charitable work
