ABOUT CHRISTOPHER RAUSCH

I am currently with Arizona Public Service (APS) as the Emergency Event Management Coordinator. This position is responsible for the training, planning, and implementation of the corporate response processes. Before my recent transition to APS, I had an extensive career with the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, which included work at PHX Sky Harbor, Deer Valley, and Goodyear Airports. During that time, I held various positions, including Management Services Administrator and Airport Duty and Emergency Manager. In these roles, I provided advanced planning and leadership to enhance safety, security, emergency preparedness, and the efficient operation of the Aviation Department. Prior to my career with the City of Phoenix, I worked at America West Airlines, which later became US Airways and is now part of American Airlines. I held various positions within the company and, in 2006, received a US Airways Chairman’s Award for the successful merger of the America West and US Airways Emergency Planning and Response programs.
