ABOUT CHRISTOPHER PATER

Risk mitigation can be defined as a systematic reduction in the amount of exposure to risk and the likelihood of its occurrence. Bringing global experience in risk mitigation and management with diverse knowledge across financial crimes and cybersecurity, I am seeking to leverage my skills gained during a 30-year career in federal law enforcement to help your organization minimize its exposure to risk.I am confident that my experience can be utilized in many different ways to assist an organization with its overall operational strategy. The diversity of my background – which spans financial crimes, international diplomacy, investigate strategic planning and program management – will enable me to serve in either a consultative role or in a direct operational leadership capacity. My background includes threat and vulnerability assessments as well as knowledge of how goods and funds travel to and from the US all over the world. I am familiar with Know Your Customer regulations and have conducted investigations into internal and external fraud and anti-dumping methods. This background enables me to be able to identify potential fraud and protect quality of financial transactions. In addition, I have extensive knowledge about cybersecurity and information assurance programs. As the Attaché to Hong Kong for the Department of Homeland Security, I am currently working with the Taipei National Security Council to develop their cybersecurity program. As my career with DHS comes to a close in 2019, I would like to find an organization where my wealth of knowledge, my senior leadership experience, my global diplomacy skills and the diversity of my senior law enforcement program management skills can be of value.
