About Christopher Olvey
I am currently employed by the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness where I work as a State Applicant Liaison for Hazard Mitigation projects.I am a forestry and wildlife habitat management graduate of Louisiana Tech University with experience in various aspects of the forestry and environmental services industries. I have also been a member of the Louisiana National Guard since 2011.I was most recently, previously employed by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality where I worked in the water surveys section of the Office of Environmental Assessment’s Water Planning and Assessment Division. Where I collected water quality data and samples for various non-point source pollution monitoring projects. I am interested in gaining experience in environmental assessment and restoration. In addition to, gaining more experience in land appraisals, forest management, and wildlife habitat management. I am also very interested in gaining experience in emergency management.
