Experience

  1. Cisco Solution Architect

    Dynamix Group

Jun 2011 — Present · Charlotte, NC, US

Second Cisco architect that was hired to start and build a Cisco partner business. In the past 13 years we have been very successful in growing our existing customer base as well as gaining new customers. I am responsible for pre-sales, design and configuration, and deployment of solutions both hands on and managing teams of engineers. While at Dynamix, I have designed and deployed large data centers focusing around all flavors of Cisco Nexus switches including 2k, 3k, 5ks, 7ks, and 9ks. These designs are utilizing VPC, FCoE (multihop), native FC, zoning and SAN administration, FIP snooping, NPV and NPIV, IVR, FCIP, ISE, UCS, OTV, VXLAN, ACI, etc. between multiple data centers. These designs have driven cost efficiency by unifying the LAN/SAN fabrics from both a hardware procurement cost and an ongoing maintenance cost as well as redefining the disaster recovery plan for the company. These solutions offer DR in live customer data centers vs. the older methodology of a cold site only to be used during a disaster.I span almost all verticals including retail, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, etc. and work with all levels from the CIO down to the help desk. My goal is to work closely with customers to create long term solutions including overall strategy, road-mapping, budgeting, and planning for 5+ years out.
