ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MORLEY

I’m a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA), with over 20 years’ experience in Cultural Heritage. I advise on major applications across various sectors including national infrastructure, onshore and offshore green energy, mining and minerals, industrial, commercial and residential. Alongside project management, my specialties include advising on site feasibility, opportunities and constraints; negotiating proportionate scopes of desk-based and field investigation with heritage consultees; mitigation by design strategies; and heritage setting.I have particular expertise in the area of heritage legislation, planning policy and case law, and the role of both within the wider planning system. I act as an expert witness at public inquiry, on behalf of both private developers and local planning authorities.
