Job Purpose: Facilitate the efficient functioning of cargo operations in Johannesburg under the guidance of the Port Cargo Manager. Ensure cost-effective processes, adherence to safety and security protocols, and delivery of customer service in line with Cathay standards. Responsible for performing various tasks related to cargo sales, telesales, reservations, operations, and administration.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Supervise cargo operations in Johannesburg to ensure compliance with Cathay safety and security standards during cargo handling and loading.Oversee GHA cargo controllers and cargo agents, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures for handling CX flights and mail.Handle cargo reservations, address shipment queries, track and trace shipments, plan loads, arrange transit permits, prepare CCA\'s, process payment requisitions, manage general account queries and invoices, and oversee offloads and recording of flight figures.Monitor ULD stock levels and collaborate with GHA\'s on ULD control.Engage in cargo sales, including external and general telesales.Generate weekly and monthly performance reports.Prepare monthly ad hoc rate reports for approval by the Cargo Manager.Manage operational and office functions in the absence of any cargo team members.Provide support to Cathay Pacific during emergencies or accidents in the assigned role.
