Christopher Milde is a Senior Vice President in Compass Lexecon’s European competition policy group. Christopher has more than 15 years’ experience as an economic consultant, during which he has advised clients from a wide range of industries, in all fields of competition policy and across a number of jurisdictions including Germany, the UK, and the European Union, the UK. Christopher has deep expertise in the quantification of damages in the context of follow-on cartel damages litigation. He has advised clients and drafted expert witness reports in many of the most important cartel cases in Germany and the EU in various industries including air cargo, bearings, car parts, gas insulated switch gear, LCDs, Libor, steel, sugar, sweets, technical building equipment, toiletries, trucks, and window mountings. Christopher also has considerable experience in mergers and state aid control. For example, he worked for one of the parties in the Google/Fitbit, Loomis/Ziemann, Rewe/Lekkerland, GE/Alstom and Telefónica Germany / E-Plus transactions. He also advised several private and public German entities on state aid investigations into infrastructure funding and public broadcasting. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon Christopher worked at various economic consulting firms in Berlin, London, Brussels and Washington, DC. Christopher holds a Ph.D. from European University Institute and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Tübingen, Germany. He is a native German speaker, fluent in English and has conversational knowledge of Italian and French.
