About Chris Medawar

Upon exiting my mother\'s womb my father handed me a paint brush and told me to get to work! While I didn\'t actually start fixing rental homes until age 14, the benefits of real estate investing were drilled into me starting at an extremely young age. My father and his family immigrated from Lebanon when he was just seven years old without anything but hard work ethics and a drive to create a better life. I\'ve seen first hand how ordinary people can leverage real estate to transform their lives and truly live the \"American Dream\". After spending my high school summers mowing lawns and painting houses I attended the University of Washington where I studied partying and accounting. I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Business and a masters degree in Accounting before quickly obtaining my license as a Certified Public Accountant. I sharpened my pencils and joined KPMG where I met some amazing people and learned so much about business, accounting, finance, legal and compliance, leasing, people management, and how to have fun in the work place. I continued my CPA career in Colorado at Vail Resorts, Inc. where I learned so much about due diligence, real estate, and how to treat your customers right. I finally moved to real estate full time in 2019 which we all know is what I was destined to do. Throughout my working career I have purchased and fixed up single family homes to convert to rental properties. At Medawar Real Estate we buy older homes and apartment buildings, fix up the units with condo quality renovations as tenants turn over, find amazing tenants and provide a great tenant experience. When I\'m not scouring the market for deals, you can find me cooking gourmet scratch meals for my lovely wife, playing fetch with my sweet black lab puppy Luna, and spending as much time in the mountains as possible hiking, biking, and skiing. I grew up night skiing almost every day after high school at Snoqualmie Pass. I love skiing Colorado, particularly Beaver Creek, Crested Butte, and Vail. I would love to do more backcountry skiing over the next few years!
