ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MCLAURIN

Chris McLaurin is an athlete, entrepreneur, and lawyer who spent eight years trailblazing the grassroots development of American football in China. During his time in Asia, Chris leveraged his experiences as a former All-American and University of Michigan Tight End to inspire the creation of the American Football League of China (AFLC), the country’s first tackle football league. Chris is proficient in Mandarin. He graduated with a J.D from Harvard Law School, an M.Sc. in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and with Honors in History and Urban Community Studies from the University of Michigan. Chris is a Henry Luce Scholar, a Humanity In Action Fellow, and a William J. Fulbright Research Scholar. He has also worked in prestigious government internships at the United Kingdom House of Commons and the White House Domestic Policy Council.
