About Christopher Maxwell
I\'m an Agile Coach focused on improving efficiency in Federal Government programs and supporting waterfall->agile transformations, launching SAFe release trains, and teaching SAFe 6.0 courses (Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Release Train Engineer to name a few). I have over 20+ years of experience in software development and project management using various agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP) methodologies along with waterfall. As a Scrum Master I have helped align global teams to internal and external project and software delivery goals. While doing so I strive to improve the job satisfaction of developers through the Scrum framework along with a properly configured Jira environment - because developers hate bad Jira (and let\'s not forget Azure DevOps). I have also worked as a delivery manager in a CI/CD environment. • Agile Coach comfortable helping large or small programs improve the flow of value.• Scrum Master with Agile Project Management and Software Project Management experience in the Information Technology field• Demonstrated history of delivering B2B/B2C web and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects within several industries (primarily ecommerce and financial), with a preference for complex software development projects.• Experience working with remote, multi-national teams of developers, facilitating scrum ceremonies, managing Kanban (PSK certified) workflow, and removing impediments.• Experience with various agile collaboration and productivity tools such as Jira (Certified Jira Administrator), and Confluence (also Certified).• Skilled in monitoring the progress of projects and communicating with business executives, management and clients• Knowledgeable about various traditional as well as agile methodologies (SAFe, XP, TDD, etc.).• Proficient at Quality Assurance, having worked in the Quality Control/Assurance role running manual and automated tests.• Accomplished analytical skills, ranging from requirements analysis to business analysis.• Comfortable working in a CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) environment, as well as scheduling and managing code deliveries.• Experience with Process Improvement and Continuous Improvement in lean start-up environments (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified).I also enjoy helping non-profits achieve their goals - ideally one using technology to make a difference in the world!
Experience
Instructor
Feb 2023 — Present
Created course syllabus and coached Scrum Masters to achieve various Scrum-related certifications, primarily Professional Scrum Master Level 1 and 2, as well as Atlassian\'s ACP-620 Jira Project Administrator. While PSM Level 1 focuses on the theory of Scrum, Level 2 focuses on applying that theory to various scenarios. I have greatly enjoyed helping Scrum Masters deepen their knowledge and application of Scrum. What I have found to be most effective has been to facilitate 3-4 weekly group sessions discussing the PSM2 exam and working through practice questions, along with weekly assignments.
