Previously with BJSS improving their reporting and systems ready for strategic development of the business. Until joining Drax Group in 2004 I was a member of the senior management board at Pontefract Hospital as Head of Finance, responsible for a budget of over £200m. I have also provided senior commercial finance services to Carlsberg, Arla Foods and Halifax Bank. On joining Drax in 2004, I successfully revamped their reporting to the banks and was instrumental in developing 30 year valuations to ensure a smooth listing on the Stock Exchange in 2005. This was a transformational point for the business. Following that I lead the Finance & Investment side of M&A and business development looking at large scale biomass, CCGT, pellet plants, torefaction - mainly £1bn+ projects In 2010 to broaden my commercial experience I was appointed as project developer and eventually Head of Commercial for biomass developments and Carbon Capture Storage - namely the White Rose CCS Project. The focus was on commercial agreements, opex pricing, and project planning, National Government Bid submissions.
