About Christopher Kopas
I have over 19 years of production experience at ESPN both in studio production, event production and digital production. I\'m passionate about pushing my creative limits to tell amazing stories. My experience in studio production began on the ground floor as a production assistant trainee, and I have worked my way up to become a 2-time Emmy Award winning producer.Outside of studio production, I\'ve traveled to produce remote shows with College Gameday and NBA Countdown. My event work also includes working as a bureau producer on live sports events for NBA Countdown and SportsCenter. I\'m an accomplished features producer with experience setting up and producing feature shoots and editing long and short form features. I\'m a writer who has written, edited and produced many television essays and features for our linear and digital broadcasts. I\'ve been trusted to conduct interviews with professional athletes and coaches, most recently with the Boston Celtics and at NBA All-Star weekend. My work has been recognized with two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Live Broadcast for the 2010 World Cup and Outstanding Daily Studio Show for SportsCenter. I\'m passionate about teaching and mentoring which I do in collaboration with ESPN Next to introduce and teach new hires to ESPN. I\'m proud to be a member of ESPN campus groups such as our mental health resource group, ESPN T.R.U.S.T. serving as the events chair and our Jimmy V Foundation group which raises money for cancer research for the Jimmy V Foundation.
