Our investment professionals have substantial investing experience combined with private equity and operational expertise.We employ a private equity approach to public equity investing. While we are active owners, we seek to constructively partner with the boards and management teams of our portfolio companies. We believe that our approach can unlock substantial shareholder value. Our investment philosophy is centered on the belief that our active involvement and substantial due diligence not only increases our ability to generate attractive returns, but also serves as a risk management tool that lowers our downside risk. In each of our investments we seek to close the gap between a stock’s trading price and our assessment of its intrinsic value as rapidly as possible.We employ a broad range of solutions including focusing on strategy, operations, capital structure, and shareholder communications. Additionally, we believe that good corporate governance and a well designed compensation plan are two key areas of engagement for us with every company in which we invest.
