About Christopher Kerr

With over twenty-two years of diverse international teaching experience, I am a dynamic educationist currently serving as an IB PYP Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher, Grade Lead, and PYP Student Council Lead. My professional expertise spans leadership roles in education management, head of department and coordinatorship positions, mentoring, and classroom teaching within the IB PYP and IPC frameworks. I have taught across India, Thailand, and China, working with mixed-ability learners from Kindergarten through Senior Secondary, as well as in the wider education industry with EF English First (China) and IBM Daksh (BPS) Pvt. Ltd.(India).Alongside classroom teaching, I have contributed significantly to whole-school development by serving on management committees, independently managing departments, and implementing innovative initiatives in collaboration with colleagues and the PTA. I have also served on domain teams for CIS, NEASC, and IB inspections, supporting school evaluation processes, leading PDPs, and assisting in the preparation and organisation of accreditation documentation. Additionally, I have been part of marketing and promotion teams, contributing creative ideas to support school growth and outreach.Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to professionalism, always prioritising students’ best interests and ensuring meaningful, high-quality learning experiences for all. This approach has earned the trust and respect of colleagues, school leadership, parents, and students alike. Guided by the mentorship of accomplished educators, I have continually refined my practice and advanced my qualifications, finding teaching both professionally and personally fulfilling.
