Christopher is the leader of the Ryan Abandoned and Unclaimed Property Compliance Service Line and is based in Dallas, TX. He has eighteen years of unclaimed property experience and focuses on assisting companies with various aspects of unclaimed property compliance in the energy, financial services, health and life sciences, manufacturing, retail, and technology industries. Chris continues to assist major corporations with various unclaimed property consulting projects, such as liability quantification, voluntary disclosure assistance, and the development of strategies for unclaimed property audit defense.Chris is a frequent speaker and has co-authored several articles on unclaimed property, including “Unclaimed Property: Wanted or Not,” IL CPA’s Insight Magazine, February 2010 and “Paycards – Pitfalls, Advantages, and Analysis”, American Accounts Payable Association, April 2010. Chris is an active member of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO) and completed his second term as Treasurer in 2021. Chris had previously served as the Southern Regional Vice President since 2014 and chair of the UPPO Finance Committee since 2010, and was the recipient of the Organization’s President\'s Award (2021) for his support of the organization’s mission and goals, as well as the Organization\'s Shining Star Award (2022).Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Texas and the State of North Dakota. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Dallas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants and UPPO.
