ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MCGEORGE

I build the operating systems behind creative work.I’m currently the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Production at Wild Blue Studios, where I design and run external development and production frameworks that support large, distributed creative teams. My work focuses on the essential layer between creative ambition and reality: how teams plan, partner, budget, scale, and actually deliver.Over the past several years, I’ve led the evolution of our studio from bespoke project execution into a repeatable, data-informed operation—building outsourcing models, vendor ecosystems, and production systems that can flex across very different kinds of creative work. That includes everything from visual development and animation to UI systems, marketing content, and long-running production pipelines, delivered through global partners and cross-functional teams.I excel in messy situations where there is unclear ownership, growing scale, fragile processes, or teams who are talented but blocked by the way work is structured. I don’t believe creative organizations need more process—they need better alignment, clearer constraints, and systems that respect how creative work actually happens. What I spend my time on:* Designing production and operating models that scale without crushing creativity* Translating between creative, production, finance, and leadership teams* Building trust-based external partnerships that hold up under pressure* Making cost, capacity, and risk visible so decisions get easier, not harder Before Wild Blue, I was an academic. I earned my PhD in Art History and completed my dissertation on art for the masses in the nineteenth century. My rigorous intellectual training taught me how to understand historical art production systems, economies, audiences, and markets. I bring that same rigor to my analysis of the contemporary creative landscape. I’m at my best when building teams and partnering cross-functionally to create exciting art and creative content.
