ABOUT CHRISTOPHER HILKE

Senior Manager of Climate Adaptation at the National Wildlife Federation. Engaging cross-sector partnerships, federal and state agencies, and NWF affiliates to expand capacity for climate adaptation activities. This work is oriented towards maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of conservation investments through the implementation of cross-sector, ecosystem-oriented approaches. Focus is on identifying appropriate locations and strategies for coastal resiliency enhancement efforts that utilize natural and/or nature-based approaches. Priority projects are those that mitigate post-disaster restoration/rebuilding costs, reduce community vulnerability, and enhance the services and ecological functioning of coastal habitats.
