ABOUT CHRISTOPHER FREEMAN
I am a product and innovation executive with deep experience building and scaling frontier-technology products across immersive learning, XR, digital twin, applied AI and industrial innovation. My background sits at the intersection of product strategy, emerging technology and delivery leadership. I have led product development from early concept through to product-market fit, helped shape market-facing propositions from complex R&D environments, and built cross-functional teams spanning product, design, engineering and delivery. I currently lead product delivery for Museums in the Metaverse (MiM), a £5.6m government-funded immersive platform developed with the University of Glasgow, focused on transforming how cultural heritage is experienced through real-time 3D and XR. Alongside this, I serve as Chief Product Officer at Edify, a game-engine-based immersive learning platform, where I have led the platform’s evolution from early productisation to product-market fit, contributing to a multi-million-dollar Series A within 12 months of launch. My work has included product strategy, roadmap ownership, leadership of senior cross-functional teams, board-level alignment, and the development of a more data-informed product culture. Earlier in my career, I spent eight years at the University of Sheffield AMRC, progressing to Programme Lead and managing a £20m+ digital manufacturing portfolio spanning AI, computer vision, digital twin, IoT and immersive technologies. That experience gave me a strong grounding in translating emerging technology into practical, high-value product and innovation outcomes. Across my career, I have worked with or alongside organisations including Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Airbus, BAE Systems, Laing O’Rourke, Meta, Microsoft and the University of Glasgow. I am particularly interested in roles and conversations centred on: Chief Product Officer and product leadership immersive, XR and spatial computing applied AI and next-generation product strategy productisation of emerging technology portfolio leadership, roadmap development and cross-functional transformation I bring a combination of strategic product thinking, technical fluency, commercial awareness and hands-on leadership, and I am especially motivated by opportunities where innovation, product vision and execution need to come together to create something genuinely differentiated.
