About Christopher Felder

I have over 15 years of experience in management and classroom skills at an accredited Child Development Center and Head Start Center. During my tenure I have gained knowledge in the importance of planning meaningful learns experiences, Head Start Performance Standards, CLASS Observer, assess and modify instruction, and incorporate technology into instruction geared to young children and adult learners. In addition, I develop great skills in building community partnerships. Before relocating to Raleigh, I serve as a center level director for GLEAMNS Head Start. I also serve as the interim Area Manger supervising 10 centers and over 200 staff persons. My other responsibilities are to maintain the ABC Voucher Reports for DSS, supervising staff and maintain their time-sheets for payroll. In addition, plan and implement activities for the children, staff, and families of the center. I work closely with community trainers, parent educators, professional development facilitators, and child development trainers to ensure that all of the staff at the center are adequately trained to meet license requirements. In addition, I train students that are aspiring to be future educator. I\'m also a Adjunct Professor with Midlands Technical College in their Early Childhood Department.
