AgeUK Northamptonshire is a well respected and significant provider and partner in the health and care sector in the County of Northamptonshire. it has a turnover of £5 million with around 900 staff and volunteers. I am delighted to take over from the previous CEO who retired in December. I am an experienced leader and chief executive in the public and private sectors. I have extensive experience of leading high profile, complex and demanding organisations. I have also undertaken a number of significant change management projects. I have worked effectively at local and national level, with government ministers, senior level businessmen in many sectors of the UK economy, civil servants and senior local authority colleagues.

ABOUT CHRISTOPHER DUFF

I am Chief Executive of AgeUK Northamptonshire. I took up my new position formally on the 2 January 2018. I have over 20 years experience at a senior level across the care and learning and skills sectors. I am an experienced chief executive in the public, private and charitable sectors. I have extensive experience of leading complex and demanding projects and have undertaken major change management assignments in the charitable and government sectors. I have worked closely with senior level businessmen in many sectors of the UK economy, government ministers, civil servants and senior local authority colleagues. I was until recently the Chief Executive of Rotherham Hospice, a registered charitable trust which provides specialist palliative services for adults with a range of terminal illnesses. I was previously a Director of Workforce for Macintyre Charity, a large provider of services for children and adults with learning disabilities. I have been a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where I led the learning and skills account across the UK. I was also Chief Executive of the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) and prior to that was Executive Director for the Learning and Skills Council South Yorkshire and Chief Executive of Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Training and Enterprise. I have excellent communication skills and I am an experienced business consultant, economist and strategic planner. My youngest child, James has severe learning disabilities and has a diagnosis of Angleman’s syndrome. I have been a Member of the Mencap Education and Learning Committee and Governor, Mossbrook Special School, Sheffield.
