Bass Rocks Golf Club is a private club located in East Gloucester, Massachusetts. The original 6 hole course was designed by Alexander Findlay in 1896. The course was expanded when the club commissioned the renowned Herbert Corey Leeds to convert the club into 18 holes in 1913. Bass Rocks is often considered a \"Hidden Gem\" with its unique Scottish style mounds and walls. Views of the Atlantic abound from almost every hole.Since 2003 the club has seen 2 phased additions to the maintenance facility, a new clubhouse and practice green as well as many modifications and additions to tees, bunkers and a new irrigation system. The 2nd, 4th, 5th. 6th and 17th holes have been redesigned and reconstructed as well with massive drainage improvements on all surfaces. A Golf Course Enhancement Plan was designed by Robert McNeil of The Northeast Golf Company and serves as the club\'s current guide to continued improvements. The maintenance program has been designed with playability, sustainability and environmentally sound practices in mind.
