Experience

  1. Principal Scientist - Manager - Sequencing and Molecular Assay Development

    Bristol Myers Squibb

    Feb 2016 — Present

Principal Scientist - January 2021 - Present Senior Scientist - February 2019 - January 2021 Scientist II - February 2017-February 2019 Scientist- January 2016-February 2017 Established a Next Generation Sequencing group within Juno Therapeutics providing support for projects across research and development, product development, and clinical programs, in addition to some external collaborations. Expanded group role to include molecular assay development to better understand our CAR-T products. Accomplishments • Managed team of three employees: training in a variety of molecular methods including NGS library prep. • Coordinated with off-site engineer to develop automated protocols for RNA extraction and various library prep methods (RNAseq, Immune Repertoire, ATACseq), then trained the team to use automation for production. • Lead Development and Optimization on new library methods to understand CAR-T biology including Vector Insertion Site Analysis and long read sequencing methods to examine viral genomes. • Oversaw development of ddPCR assays for splice variants detection, transduction efficiency, and RNA integrity • Collaborated with external partners on early access programs for new methods development. • Managed and prioritized incoming sequencing projects with a production rate of about 2500 libraries per year. • Oversaw day to day operations of lab, ordering of supplies, and equipment maintenance.
