About Christopher C. McIntyre

In my role as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Treasurer, and Construction Supervisor for Warren County Public Schools (WCPS), I’m proud to break the mold of the “stereotypical accountant.” I’ve been blessed to grow up, be educated, raise a family and build a career in this vibrant and thriving community; one that continues to grow and inspire me daily. My responsibilities span well beyond the ledger, more closely resembling the constant motion of an octopus’ tentacles, each one engaged in a unique but interconnected mission. On any given day, my work ranges from-Managing our $300+ million K–12 operating budget -Overseeing one of just eight Occupational Tax Offices in Kentucky -Developing, drafting, and executing the District\'s long-range Facility Plan -Leading land acquisitions, school construction, and major renovations, including-$43M Warren Elementary School (opening August 2025)-$50M Greenwood High School major renovation/addition (beginning fall 2025)-$80M IMPACT Center for Leadership & Innovation (opening August 2026)-$43M Summit View Elementary—our newest project -Allocating school staffing—teachers, classified personnel, special education, ELL—and supporting SBDM councils across the District -Collaborating with principals, school councils, and district leaders on budgeting and resource strategy -Presenting at the Kentucky School Board Association Annual Conference and multiple state and regional events focused on school facilities, construction, and finance. As the 4th largest school district in Kentucky, WCPS enrolls 18,500+ students and continues to grow by more than 400 new students annually. Of those, more than students receive special education services, and another are English Language Learners (102 languages), making us one of Kentucky’s most diverse and highest performing school districts. We’re also proud to be the most energy-efficient district in the Commonwealth, with an average Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of 24.2 across our 32 facilities, including a natatorium. Beyond WCPS, I’m honored to serve as-Chairman of the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy -Trustee for the KSBA Unemployment Insurance Program -BGWC Chamber\'s Infrastructure Committee -Member of the Warren County Parks & Recreation Advisory Council It’s a privilege to lead in ways that merge finance, operations, education, and community development all in service to students, educators, and the future of our region.
