The Bolles School was founded as an all-boys military school in 1933. The original campus, now known as the San Jose Campus, is spread across 52 acres on the scenic banks of the St. John\'s River. The school dropped its military status in 1962 and began admitting girls in 1971. Today, it is one of the most distinguished college preparatory institutions in the nation.
