OPNAV Branch Head responsible for setting Requirements and managing funding profiles for submarine combat, sonar, imaging, electronic warfare, navigation systems and sensors.Technical director responsible for identifying new capabilities, determining their potential suitability for use in the undersea domain, setting requirements and establishing funding for transition to bring new payloads, sensors and weapons to the warfighter-Adviser to the Director, Undersea Warfare Division for all aspects of current and future undersea warfare technology modernization plans, including the systems and sensors that enable command and control, navigation, lethality and survivability across all U.S. submarines.• Responsible for planning, programming, budgeting, organizing, directing and monitoring programs and coordinating the work effort for the Submarine Systems and Sensors branch with a portfolio over $2 billion per year.• Provide technical and management direction to a branch unit level organization comprised of military, civilian, and contractor personnel, while overseeing the allocation of resources and tasking for an extremely complex portfolio encompassing all undersea mission areas.• Interface with all global Combatant Commands and stakeholder organizations, including Office of Naval Research, Office on Naval Intelligence, National Security Agency and the Joint Staff on multiple classified projects and analytical studies- Represent the Undersea Warfare Division on multiple joint and Navy cross functional teams, working groups and high visibility efforts- As the OPNAV N97 National Command, Control and Communications (NC3) expert, assigned to work with Submarine Type Commander (TYCOM) and US Strategic Command (STRATCOM) staffs on future programming and budget requirements to solve the next generation of NC3, coordinating those requirements with multiple OPNAV directorates.
