ABOUT CHRISTOPHER BOWEN

With over 10 years of experience in public policy, campaign consulting, organizing, community outreach, communications, and political affairs, Christopher Nikhil Bowen knows Southern California. As an organizer Chris has mobilized residents and staff of affordable housing; elevating the voices of those with lived experience with housing instability and homelessness. As a consultant and campaign manager Chris has crafted budgets, executed mail programs, and provided wholistic strategies for clients in West Hollywood, Hawthorne, Santa Monica, Culver City, City of LA, and LA County. As a lobbyist Bowen forged relationships with key stakeholders, commissions, & elected officials, ensuring client objectives are heard. As a communications specialist, Chris is at home creating mobile friendly emails on platforms such as Constant Contact and Mailchimp. Chris also has extensive experience developing and managing social media platforms for clients on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Bowen has overseen website development and management. An expert in community and media outreach, Chris has harnessed the power of public perception through face-to-face interactions as well as garnering and maintaining positive press relations. Chris has worked with clients in emerging markets like cannabis as well as more traditional markets such as development, outdoor advertising and land use. A seasoned business professional in LA, previous clients and employers include Assemblymember Richard Bloom, LA County Assessor Jeffrey Prang, West Hollywood Councilmember John Duran, Bob Burke & Co, the Afriat Consulting Group, and the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS. Chris currently resides with his husband and their dog Cleo in their Pomona home. Chris enjoys volunteering for SoCal Satrang, an LGBTQ+ organization for South Asians and of course attending Dodgers games.
