   Responsible for establishing the MSU Advanced Composites Institute as the global leader in composite research and innovation Responsible sqft state-of-the-art innovation, engineering, and fabrication center housing $5M in cutting-edge composite research, development, and scale up equipment including the world-renowned Marvin B. Dow Stitched Composite Development Center. Lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, faculty, business leaders, students, postdocs, and other technical experts to offer a diverse value proposition to leading industries. Developed & implemented a multifarious diversification strategy that offers significant and sustainable growth in technology, partnerships, education, technology transfer, and economic development. Built and executed a financial strategy that presents >50% CAGR to establish a $10M/year innovation enterprise in the first 5 years. Designed and employed an innovation stage-gating process to effectively manage a multi-industry portfolio of clients and partners, creating valuable credibility as a global leader in composite innovation. Transformed the ACI into a trusted “solutions” asset focused on high utility, validated programs extending from ideation to design, execution, scale-up, evaluation & technology transfer. Initiate and drive collaboration with Centers, Institutes, and Departments at MSU as well as other pioneering universities around the globe. Established a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) system focused on sustainability through diversification and value proposition articulation. Developed a sustainable capital investment plan in support of strategic infrastructure enhancements aligned with target industries’ needs and requirements.
