Quality & Cultural Change Leader in Construction | CITB GIRI Trainer | Driving Right-First-Time Delivery | EngTech MICE, PCQII am a construction quality and cultural change leader with over 28 years of experience, having progressed from a local authority bricklaying and paving apprentice to General Foreman on major infrastructure projects, and now working at a national level to improve how our industry delivers work.My career has been built from the ground up, giving me a deep, practical understanding of site operations, leadership, and project delivery across highways, utilities, flood defence, and complex infrastructure, including the landmark Hinkley Point C nuclear new build.Today, I specialise in driving right-first-time delivery and behavioural change through my work in quality, training, and continuous improvement. As a CITB GIRI Certified Trainer, I plan and deliver behavioural quality programmes across the UK and Ireland, helping teams reduce error, rework, and risk while strengthening communication, decision-making, and accountability.I am passionate about changing construction culture, moving beyond compliance to create environments where people feel confident to speak up, learn from mistakes, and take pride in delivering quality outcomes.Alongside my core role, I actively support professional development through mentoring, as a member of the Northern Mentoring Team, working both as a mentor and mentee to support growth across the industry.I am a Practitioner Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (PCQI) and an Engineering Technician Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (EngTech MICE).
