From leading teams in the military to managing complex estates and now driving environmental compliance, my career has been built on adaptability, accountability, and delivering results under pressure.My time as a military manager taught me the fundamentals of leadership strategic thinking, operational planning, and the ability to make critical decisions in high-stakes environments. These experiences shaped my approach to problem-solving and instilled a commitment to precision and resilience.Transitioning into estate management expanded my skill set into property operations, contractor oversight, and stakeholder engagement, balancing budgets, manage large-scale projects, and ensure continuity of services across diverse portfolios all while maintaining compliance and safety standards.Along the way, I\'ve achieved my NEBOSH Diploma, which strengthened my expertise in health, safety, and risk management. This qualification gave me the ability to interpret legislation, implement robust safety systems, and lead compliance initiatives with confidence. I also hold a Degree in Leadership and Management, which has enhanced my ability to lead teams effectively, drive strategic initiatives, and foster collaboration across multiple stakeholders.Today, as an Environmental Compliance Advisor, I apply these combined strengths to safeguard environmental integrity across NHS properties. My role includes:Ensuring spill-trained engineers are available to respond to incidents, managing contractors throughout major compliance projects, collaborating with decarbonisation teams to align with sustainability goals, overseeing environmental permits and statutory notices, setting and enforcing decommissioning standards, attending, overseeing and delivering training for regional managers on incident management and major incident response. I am committed to delivering robust health, safety, and environmental compliance frameworks that ensure operational continuity, minimise environmental risk, and support organisational sustainability objectives.
