ABOUT CHRISTIN HARTMAN
I am a Master of Public Health candidate at the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a background in patient care, research, and student leadership, and a growing interest in health policy and health equity.I have supported orthopedic patients in post-operative recovery as a Patient Care Technician, contributed to neuroscience research examining stress and depression-like behaviors in adolescence, and served in mentorship and leadership roles supporting student success and access to resources. I currently co-lead support groups for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault at SafeHouse Center, applying trauma-informed and survivor-centered approaches.My interests sit at the intersection of public health, health policy, and health equity, with a focus on mental health, access to care, and systems that support vulnerable populations. I am seeking opportunities to apply research, communication, and policy-adjacent skills in meaningful public health settings.
