As a member of the ALUS Canada team, I am responsible for province-wide coordination, oversight, management, and facilitate efforts to strengthen the capacity and awareness of ALUS in Alberta. I act as the liaison between ALUS Canada and the communities. I support the community delivery of the ALUS program across Alberta and BC, successfully transfer the concept into new communities and ensure ALUS is well understood by the appropriate provincial government agencies and other relevant organizations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Program DeliveryMain liaison between ALUS Canada & local ALUS programsSupport delivery and implementation of the programSupport communities strategic planning & budgeting process Ensure the communities are implementing the program within the established principles, protocols, forecasted timeframes, targets & budgetCreate & implement yearly provincial Strategic Plan that supports the Provincial Business PlanParticipate regularly in local Partnership Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings (the PACs act as local ALUS steering committee) Support start up of new communitiesTrain and support new ALUS Program Coordinators and PAC’s Participate in planning events & tours to stimulate interest and support for ALUS in the local community, particularly the business communityManage & oversee community level project verification annuallyBe a key contributor to the national ALUS strategic management team, providing advice and leadership in creating a sustainable and effective ALUS entity Grant Management and Fund DevelopmentExplore opportunities with new partners & funding agencies for furthering the ALUS concept at a local, provincial & federal levelCollate community reports biannuallyOutreach and CommunicationsSupport marketing & communication efforts at the community and provincial levelIdentify opportunities for communities to connect/share information Present the ALUS concept to new interested communities
