ABOUT CHRISTINE PINKNEY
Creating life-enriching customer experiences is what drives me. I thrive on creative problem solving, innovative projects, and mentoring my team to always be curious.Building collaborative relationships with all my colleagues and staff is crucial to my success. I am consistently positive and high energy, see value in diverse opinions, and seek alignment with key stakeholders in order to share a common understanding of the way forward. Empathy is a tool I use in my daily work as a library manager, along with design thinking ideology, prototyping, and iteration. I am dedicated to supporting the Gender and Sexually Diverse community and can often be found volunteering for that purpose. In 2014, I was proud to be the inaugural winner of the Shelagh Mikulak Scholarship for Library Sciences. In 2017, I presented on my experience launching the Idea Lab at the Alberta Library Conference in beautiful Jasper, Alberta. In 2020, I was humbled to engage with national pride leaders when I presented \'What\'s Going on with Libraries and the Gender and Sexually Diverse Community?\' at Fierté Canada Pride 2020.
