About Chrissey Nguyen Klockner

Chrissey is an experienced nonprofit executive and strategist whose work is deeply rooted in her journey as a child of Vietnamese refugees and her experiences leading, assessing, and enacting change in diverse communities. She is always looking for ways to turn her passions—for immigration, education, and social justice—into action. To date, she has raised over $20 million for causes internationally. ​Chrissey founded Nguyen Strategy in 2020. The boutique nonprofit fundraising and strategy firm is based in Washington, DC, and focuses on helping organizations reach their ambitious visions through winning strategy and thoughtful execution. As a consultant and fundraising professional, she has built and expanded fundraising programs at premier institutions in New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C, and led nonprofit leadership teams internationally through fundraising growth and strategic challenges. Chrissey frequently speaks at national and regional nonprofit conferences on fundraising, strategic planning, and change management. Currently, she is the Director of Development for GO Tutor Corps, a national education nonprofit that provides students with access to a quality education through high-dosage tutoring. Chrissey studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Georgetown University.

   Spearhead development efforts as the GO Tutor Corps scales up to serve students annually by 2030.• Designed and executed comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and planned giving, to drive revenue growth and donor engagement.• Develop and manage a strong grant-seeking program, working with program staff and grant writers to refine strategies, secure funding, and ensure timely reporting and compliance.• Create innovative fundraising campaigns, events, and giving opportunities to engage donors and secure support for key initiatives, including online, giving society, and corporate giving programs.• Developed a $5m pipeline of new revenue in six months, and drove strategies to secure over in commitments prior to the start of the fiscal year
