As part of the Office of the General Counsel, the Investment Counsel team provides legal advice to the Board, executive leadership, and staff on all matters concerning the CalSTRS investment portfolio and its global investment activities. As Senior Investment Counsel, I work with business teams to prepare and review investment transaction documents, advise on legal issues in the public and private markets, and analyze laws and regulations impacting public pension funds across state, federal and non-U.S. jurisdictions.
