ABOUT CHRISTINE A. BYRD-TUCKER

I’m Christine Byrd-Tucker, LMSW (she/her), a clinical social worker, youth advocate, and emotional culture strategist with deep roots in community work and a decade-plus of experience holding space for Black and brown youth navigating systems that weren’t built for them.My approach to therapy is honest, relational, and grounded in cultural truth. I’ve worked in schools, community centers, and after-school spaces—always centering the emotional wellbeing of young people and families. Whether I’m supporting a student in crisis, building out an SEL curriculum, or leading group sessions, I bring a trauma-informed lens, a sharp clinical skillset, and a heart that understands the power of showing up fully.I integrate CBT, solution-focused therapy, and play-based interventions with cultural wisdom, intuitive listening, and a deep respect for the resilience my clients carry. I specialize in working with adolescents, LGBTQ+ youth, and students with IEPs or learning differences who deserve affirming care and high expectations.Currently open to fee-for-service therapy opportunities—both virtual and in-person—where I can continue doing work that’s real, rooted, and reparative.Let’s build.
