I serve as a third grade teacher and team lead at an international school whose student population represents 50+ different countries from around the world. In these positions I- Develop positive relationships with students, staff, and families of globally diverse backgrounds- Develop year-long calendars for content planning and implementation- Write curriculum collaboratively using design methodologies such as CGC and Kath Murdoch inquiry models, PBLs, and self-directed learning- Create course modules, activities, and tutorials in alignment with international standards- Align content with measurable learning objectives using Understanding by Design-Transition curriculum to a virtual format and deliver online instruction- Design online courses and content for distance learning due to COVID-19- Employ assorted technology tools and platforms to deliver robust online programs- Deliver quality, differentiated instruction with clear learning objectives- Gather reports and triangulate data to identify areas for growth and design future action plans- Hold instructional unit reviews to ensure content relevance, accuracy, and effectiveness- Identify individual learning goals and action plans with students and their families- Establish close-knit classroom communities to provide positive social-emotional support for third-culture kids (TCKs)-Foster positive team dynamics and facilitate collaborative team meetings among culturally diverse faculty members to achieve team objectives and deliverables, in coordination with divisional leadership and school-wide administrative teams
