ABOUT CHRISTINE SEET

I am currently a Policy Advisor on the public banks, international financial architecture reform and sustainable finance team at E3G. I completed my MSc with Distinction in Political Science & Political Economy at the London School of Economics in August 2023, where I wrote my dissertation on the political economy of bushfires and voting behaviour in Australia. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Western Australia with First Class Honours in international relations, politics and economics. Between 2019 and 2022, I worked in economic policy development and analysis at the Australian Treasury. My last role here was as a Senior Analyst in migration forecasting and migration policy in the Centre for Population (population.gov.au). In 2021, I helped draft and deliver the Treasurer\'s 2021 Intergenerational Report. While on secondment at the Parliamentary Budget Office, I produced revenue costings for Australian parliamentarians from opposition and minor parties. Prior to this, I was selected as part of Treasury\'s COVID-19 taskforce, responsible for formulating, coordinating and delivering the Australian government\'s economic policy response to the pandemic. In 2019, I contributed to Australia\'s representation in global international institutions and fora, supporting leadership in international development banks and financial institutions, most specifically the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
