Support DayCent modeling integration of wetlands as part of a USDA-funded Monitoring, Evaluation, and Assessment project under the Conservation Reserve Program, including in-person travel to Colorado State University to meet with project PIs.Manage DU’s ACoGS portfolio in North Dakota and Colorado, which entails leading the annualmonitoring and quantification of avoided emissions for projects registered on the Voluntary CarbonMarket. DU’s ACoGS portfolio uses both American Carbon Registry protocol which requires DayCentmodeling expertise, as well as the Climate Action Reserve’s protocol which is emission factor-based.Serve as DU’s liaison to Colorado State University’s Soil Carbon Solutions Center for exposure toDayCent licensing and technical support.Support proposal development around Scope 3 emissions reductions in agricultural supply chains,while staying up to date on guiding protocols and initiatives (e.g. IPCC, GHG Protocol, Science-BasedTargets Initiative).Represent DU in key technical convenings around Scope 3 emissions and Voluntary Carbon Marketverified offsetsSupport successful partnerships with entities to fund carbon program expansion.Assist in developing and/or evaluating additional carbon and GHG focused Measurement, Modeling,Reporting and Verification (MMRV) partnerships and frameworksProvide forward thinking and vision toward growing a diverse lands program to fulfill DU’s mission.
