SECU is the social and environmental accountability mechanism of the UNDP, responsible for investigating allegations of non-compliance with UNDP’s social and environmental policies and procedures. I have worked on a range of investigations at SECU, spanning multiple countries and topic areas. I’m involved in the full spectrum of SECU’s case work, from intake, to investigation, to monitoring outcomes. I have also led and participated in other areas of SECU’s mandate, including advisory work, proactive and self-initiated investigations, network building initiatives, and outreach and communications. As of February 2025, I am the Officer in Charge (OiC), acting as the Head of SECU, and responsible for the overall management of the unit, including the supervision of two staff members, five consultants, and one intern.
