About Christine Magers
Christine graduated from Texas A&M College Station with a Wildlife and Fisheries Science Degree in 2005. While earning her B.S. she worked two summers at Garner State Park as a TPWD Clerk 1 in Concan, TX and spent her last summer as an intern for the US Forest Service in the Clinch Ranger District in Wise, VA. After graduating in May 2005 she worked at Oasis Outback in Uvalde, TX before becoming a land person for The Land and Mineral Company of Texas and then Genesis Gas and Oil, LLC in Batesville, TX. In late 2006 she joined HDR where she worked for 16 years gaining experience across the country working in upland and coastal environments across many industries. While working, Christine earned her Masters in Environmental Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2011. Starting as an entry level environmental scientist she went on to become a Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB), task manager, project manager, then program leader managing a team of scientists, clients, and projects. Her project managment experience includes wetland delineations, Phase I ESAs, jurisdictional determinations, mitigation plans, nationwide and individual permits, NEPA documentation, initial project planning and alternatives analysis, regulatory construction oversite, and post constructiion environmental monitoring. She\'s now in Corpus Christi, TX providing environmental and regulatory support to clients all along the Gulf Coast and inland. Recently she’s been assisting several ports with channel improvement projects, saving sea turtles, assisting clients through FERC NEPA review, serving as a National Association of Environmental Professionals board member, and permitting beach maintenance and nourishment projects.
