Responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations including: employee relations, benefits administration, policies & procedures, performance management, unemployment, workers compensation, risk management, etc. Service multiple clients in an HR Generalist capacity. Handle all incoming calls from clients/employees in regards to employment related issues. Visit client sites as needed. Conduct orientation meetings & manage employee files. Create employee handbooks and update as needed. Administer unemployment claims. Generate newsletters & articles to clients in regards to new laws & compliance matters. Research laws & provide documentation on employment related issues. Educate clients on proper procedures in regards to FMLA, ADA, etc & generate corresponding paperwork. Generate new hire packets & update as needed. Customize & distribute HR & new hire forms along with Labor Law posters for each client site. Conduct background checks as needed. Gather, collect & analyze data for EE0-1 reporting & submit information to EEOC. Confirm, track & administer enrollments for all eligible employees for a variety of benefit plans. Administer & reconcile employee termination paperwork with each insurance carrier. Track & administer state continuation paperwork & /or submit qualifying event information to carrier.
