ABOUT CHRISTINE BUGOS

I am a tenured leader with extensive experience in the field of policy and advocacy. I joined Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in February 2012. Currently, I am responsible for leading the Global Corporate Affairs team across the different business sectors of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Prior to working at the Group level across the business sectors, I lead the Healthcare Global Policy and External Affairs team tasked with defining and advocating public policy issues relevant to the company’s global healthcare business. This includes ensuring we have a clear, coordinated and consistent communication of global policy positions across both the organization and with relevant external stakeholders. Previously, I spent over 20 years with Sanofi and its predecessor companies, last serving as Vice President for Global Institutional Relations. Before that, I worked in various roles within U.S. Medical Affairs as well as in Global Marketing and Medical. Prior to joining the industry, I was a Clinical Pharmacist in a university teaching hospital. I have a Doctor in Pharmacy and Masters in Business Administration. I am fluent in French, English and Spanish and proficient in Hungarian.
