As a Research Associate at NDCPD, I lead and support state and federally funded projects focused on disability advocacy, public health, and systems-level change. My work spans program coordination, policy development, family support, and public education.Key Responsibilities & Achievements:Program Management & Research:*Manage and implement grant-funded initiatives in areas such as suicide prevention, disability awareness, and early intervention.*Conduct research, data analysis, and reporting to inform evidence-based practices and strategic decisions.*Contribute to successful grant proposals to secure funding for ongoing and future projects.Training & Outreach:*Develop and deliver webinars, training sessions, and public presentations at both state and national levels.*Delivering community-based suicide prevention education.*Coordinated follow-up services for the statewide Newborn Screening Program, including the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program, ensuring timely support for infants with hearing loss or related conditions across North Dakota.Family & Community Engagement:*Serve as a family support specialist, helping families navigate complex service systems and connect with essential resources.*Coordinate statewide and national conferences, workshops, and community events—from logistics to evaluation.*Collaborate with cross-sector partners, vendors, and agencies to address service gaps and enhance program delivery.Communications & Digital Strategy:*Design and manage websites and social media for outreach campaigns tied to grant initiatives.*Lead content creation, promotion, and evaluation to effectively communicate program goals and engage diverse audiences.*Created and digital designed newsletters to enhance community culture and engagement.
