ABOUT CHRISTINE BOYLE
Christine Boyle is BC’s Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs, and the BC NDP MLA for Vancouver-Little Mountain. A two term Vancouver City Councillor with OneCity Vancouver, Christine was the leading Council voice on urgent and equitable climate action, making it faster and easier to build much more rental and coop housing throughout the city, and implementing the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People. Prior to political life, Christine led strategic communications at the Columbia Institute\'s Centre for Civic Governance, supported the development of GreenJobs BC, was Minister of Community Life at Canadian Memorial United Church and Centre for Peace, led national multi-faith climate justice efforts with Faith & the Common Good, and was an outreach worker at First United Church in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Christine has an BSc in Urban Agriculture and First Nations Studies from UBC, and an MA in Religious Leadership for Social Change from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. She loves cooking and biking, and lives in East Vancouver with her partner and two kids.
