ABOUT CHRISTINE BARRAGAN

In the realm of international trade promotion, Christine works closely with Midwest SMEs (small and medium size enterprises) by presenting the resources of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council as a platform for doing business in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the rest of Asia. Working with multipliers such as trade associations, chambers of commerce, and state & federal agencies in the Midwest, Christine helps connect companies in finding global opportunities and business partners through local connections and HKTDC’s suite of services. She also recruits Midwest companies to attended overseas trade fairs and conferences organized by HKTDC as a promotional tool for marketing to a global audience. Christine executes the logistics and details of seminars, outreach workshops and market visits with key corporations and SMEs with a global agenda. These one-on-one meetings help HKTDC Chicago Office to identify the needs of companies and organizations looking to Hong Kong as the experienced partner to doing business with Mainland China and global positioning to trade with other Asian counties. As the Secretariat for the Hong Kong Business Association of the Midwest (HKBAM), Christine coordinates signature networking events, identifies keynote speakers, social media promotion, website development and membership recruitment.
