The ASA celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2005. I have served the society in a variety of roles since first joining. I am currently the Chair of the Sub-track Committee on Critical Care, and am the Vice-Chair of the Bylaws committee. I served on the Committee on Electronic Media and Information Technology (EMIT, now renamed to Committee on Informatics and Information Technologies) from - 2021, and was chair from 20••••15. I have been a member of the Critical Care and Trauma Medicine committee, the Committee on Trauma and Emergency Preparedness (COTEP), and the Web Oversight Committee. I also represented the ASA to ASC X12.
