About Christina Tamer
I am a non-profit executive leading a high-performing team of 10 program staff, and collaborating with my peers to lead a 150+ person organization.At VentureWell, I proudly lead the Ventures team. We partner with foundations, mission-aligned corporations, federal agencies, development organizations, and incubators to provide accelerator curriculum and coaching, financial support (grants and investments), and end-to-end entrepreneurship program support. As a team, we pride ourselves on our founder-first approach to our programs, aiming to create impactful experiences that provide them with the necessary space to work on their strategies. I currently manage a portfolio of 30 startup investments at VentureWell and make 2-3 new investments per year in the ventures emerging from our programs. I mentor and design programs to serve scientific and technical founders, and have been described as a thoughtful and articulate instructor and facilitator for accelerator programs. I previously worked at an impact investment venture fund focused on alternative energy, mobile technology, and agriculture technology startups. I started my career at a non-profit focused on providing educational and entrepreneurial opportunities to displaced women in Uganda. I hold an MBA from UMass Boston.
